The Wind4Shipping (W4S) INTERREG European project aims to accelerate the adoption of wind propulsion technologies for shipping in North-West Europe. It seeks to transition from one-off production to industrial-scale manufacturing of rotor sails and wing sails, achieving fuel savings of up to 40%.

By engaging stakeholders from Pays de la Loire, Brittany, Fryslan (NL), and Weser-Ems (DE), W4S will develop three innovative ecosystems integrated into a European supply chain. Four pilot actions will test these technologies in real-world conditions.
